Tech N9ne on the Carter 4
Here is the long awaited track off the Carter 4 featuring Tech N9ne. The song is called "Interlude" and Andre 3000 is also featured on the track. "Interlude" is just one part of the three part song. The song is actually split into three parts on the album, "Intro" "Interlude" and "Outro". Lil Wayne does the "Intro". Bun B, Nas, Shyne & Busta Rhymes finish off the "Outro." Lil Wayne's Carter 4 will be available on Itunes this Sunday, after the MTV video music awards. Enjoy!
Lil Wayne and Tech N9ne have been making a lot of noise on the internet. Having Tech on the Carter 4 gives him even more exposure, thus increasing his fan base and making him even more of a mogul. ged to capture Tech N9ne's appearance on stage with Lil' Wayne at the Sprint Center Monday night. Take a look...
There has been rumors that a Lil Wayne and Tech N9ne tour may be in the works. That would be insane to have, what I believe, the two biggest hip hop acts come together for a tour. I know I would be attending. What do you guys think of Tech's track off the Carter 4? Would you attend a Lil Wayne and Tech N9ne tour? Let's hear your thoughts...

Chiefs Back to Football Bash, Wed Aug 24
Tomorrow night, the Chiefs will host a "back to football" bash at Arrowhead stadium. The stadium gates will open at 6 pm and practice will start an hour later. The Chiefs will have a lot going on tomorrow at night with an open practice, autograph session, and fireworks. For more details of the bash, head over to kcchiefs.com.
Last Friday's game against the Ravens showed a lot of progression from the Chiefs.LB Justin Houston and DE Tyson Jackson are the two players that stood out in that game. Rookie Justin Houston was all over the field and had two sacks. By the end of the year, or maybe the end of preseason, I expect him in that starting role opposite of Derrick Johnson. Tyson Jackson looked good pressuring the quarterback which is an unsual sight. He has alot to prove this year and if he doesn't produce, he will be gone. Hopefully his MMA training this summer will pay off. Rookie WR Jonathan Baldwin has been in the news regarding the "altercation" with teammate RB Thomas Jones. We may never know what truly happened but why would he pick a fight with vet Thomas Jones. It is beyond me but, Baldwin will be out the rest of the preseason with the wrist/thumb injury and possibly the first couple weeks of the regular season. Huge setback for Baldwin and hopefully he will learn from this.
Last night I attended the Lil Wayne concert at the Sprint Center and guess who was next to me for awhile....Chiefs coach Todd Haley.
There has been some negative press about Haley being at the concert and should be doing his job. I see nothing wrong with him showing up but I can see why some people are upset. Apparently Lil Wayne is a big influence on the Chiefs and they play his songs before every game and Haley wanted to personally thank him. Lil Wayne even gave him a shout out on Twitter! Nevertheless, I respect what Haley has done so far with the Chiefs and believe no harm was done.
What are your opinions about Haley attending the Lil Wayne concert? Anybody going to the bash tomorrow night? Thoughts on the Ravens game? Leave some feedback....

Royals Sign Outfielder Bubba Starling
Right before the 11 PM deadline Monday night, Royals signed their 5th pick Bubba Starling and today the signing was official. Bubba will receive $7.5 million in bonus, spread over three years. Bubba is from Gardner, Kansas and it has been his dream to become a Kansas City Royal. He is also a football star and had to make the decison to either play baseball or football at Nebraska. Hopefully, he will become a name we hear for many years.
There is also a rumor he is a big Tech N9ne fan. Wouldn't it be cool to hear Bubba come out to bat with some Tech N9ne music? I already like the kid! I believe that being 19 its a big decision for him to choose to go to a pro baseball team over going to Nebraska for college and getting that college experience; but at the same time it would be hard to pass up such a great opportunity. Overall, this is a big signing for the Royals and lets hope he is the future.

Kutt Calhoun "Red-Headed Stepchild" EP Review
It has been awhile since we heard from Kutt and this six track EP does not disappoint. In the intro, Kutt explains why he feels he is the "red-headed stepchild" of Strange Music and the industry. I can certainly agree, at times Kutt seems distant from the other artists on the label and his talent needs to be showcased. The second song "All By My Lonely" sums up how Kutt has been feeling lately and defintely the standout track. Another standout track, "Charlie Sheen" is a party anthem featuring Big Scoob. Recentlly, the Strange Music family pefromed at the annual Gathering of the Juggalos and Kutt got to meet the man who inspired the song.
Overall this EP is a must have for any Strange Music fan and any fan of hip hop. Head over to the Strange Music store (clickhere) to purchase the EP. If you get it now it will be 50% off through 09/04!

Thoughts From Buccaneers and Chiefs Game...
Well....you could tell it was a preseason game. Chiefs lost to the Buccaneers 25-0. Our starters on both sides saw little or no action. Not many positives you can take from the game when you get shut out but I managed to have see a few....
Matt Cassel did not attempt a pass, Jamaal Charles did not have a rushing attempt, and Dwayne Bowe did not recieve a pass. Therefore, no risk of injury; that's a positive that nobody was injured, but at the same time us fans want to see the progress the players have made throughout camp. The same went for our defense. Tamba Hali, Derrick Johnson, Kelley Gregg, and Glen Dorsey did not play Friday night. It was hard to judge our defense when nobody played. The positive is, these young players are competing for a spot on the roster. I did not see anything that blew my mind from our rookies and backup. Ricky Stanzi looked promising at times and can see him taking the second string quarterback duties from Tyler Palko. I just have no faith in Palko and if he is our first option if Cassel were to get hurt, that could spell T R O U B L E. Our offensive line did not help him Friday night, but you can not take a safety. Speaking about the offensive line, we have signed offensive tackle Jared Gaither. Gaither played for the Ravens and will be an competing for a starting position, right or left tackle. Jonathan Baldwin had one catch and almost two. He made an remarkable catch but unfortunately he was ruled out of bounds. The incomplete pass did show his athletic ability to go make a play on a bad pass, so there was another positive.
Overall, not much you can take from this game. It showed you the Chiefs have a lot work to still do in training camp. Chiefs will hopefully have a better outing next Friday against the Baltimore Ravens. What did you take from the game? Any players that stood out to you? Leave your thoughts and feedback.

Chiefs Host Buccaneers Friday Night at Arrowhead
Our Kansas City Chiefs kickoff the preseason Friday night at 7 PM. Chiefs will host the Tampa Buccaneers and can be seen on local channel Fox 4. The NFL network will replay the game Monday night just in case you miss it.
I will be in attendance Friday night and I am anxious to see how the rookies perform. Baldwin, Houston, and Hudson are the key rookies to pay attention to. These rookies will hopefully be the future of the Chiefs in their respectable positions. I am not too worried about our starters and I bet they will only play a series. We know what our starters can do and do not want to risk injury. I am eager to see how our backup QB's perform. Palko and Stanzi will compete for 2nd string this preseason and the Chiefs need to feel confident if Cassel were to go down.
It should be a fun night at Arrowhead to watch our players compete for roster spots. Play could be sloppy at times but that is what preseason games are for, to work out the kinks.I will have my thoughts on the game Saturday or Sunday. GO CHIEFS!

Report on Chiefs Training Camp
This past Saturday I took a trip up to St. Joesph with my fiance and dad, to see Chiefs training camp. It was Family Funday and players signed autographs before the 1:30 PM practice. I managed to get Brandon Flowers, Dexter McCluster, Leron McClain, Andy Studebaker, and Barry Richardson autographs. It was nice to see these players up close and see how big or small (McCluster) they really are. The players signed autographs for about thirty minutes and the horn sounded for the players to get in their areas to begin practice. This year I am anticipating this season more than I ever have. Maybe because of the lockout or the Chiefs first place season last year, either way I can't wait to get this season started. Chiefs have a tough schedule this year and I wanted to see firsthand how they are looking so far.
Saturday was the first day the Chiefs were in pads so its kind of hard judging where everyone is at but there some key things I saw. Glen Dorsey, Tony Moeaki, Jonathan Baldwin, were dressed out but not practicing. All of them were were suffering from minor leg injuries so they should be back before long. Tamba Hali and Justin Houston looked winded at times and had to take breaks. Hali should be fine, it was pretty hot so I will give him that. Houston has some rumors going around about why he signed so late and that could be the reason. Houston did beat Barry Richardson a couple times in one on one drills getting to the quarterback and that looked promising. Our secondary looked good so far and I am not concerned with them.
Our offensive starters looked good as well. Backup quarterback Tyler Palko did not look good at all. Palko looked confused at times on 7 on 7 drills. Third string quarterback Ricky Stanzi looked a little better than Palko, but the Chiefs could be in trouble if Cassel were to go down. Cross our fingers and hope not. Backup center Rodney Hudson threw some snaps into the ground but he is transitioning from guard to center. Thomas Jones fumbled once and was very upset at himself. I think he might see a decline in carries this year with the addition of Leron McClain. McClain looks just as big in person. Chiefs problem with third and shorts should be NO problem this year.
Overall I think the Chiefs were looking good for a week into training camp. They will have a couple days to prepare for their first preseason game against Tampa Bays Buccaneers. Chiefs will face the Buccaneers 7:00 PM at Arrowhead this Friday. GO CHIEFS!!!

The Chiefs have signed free agent FB Le'Ron McClain to a one year deal. There have been reports linking McClain to Kansas City and today it was made official. The Chiefs now have four options carrying the ball this year. Jamaal Charles, Thomas Jones, Dexter McCluster, and now McClain will share the load this year. All these players lead to an explosive rushing attack as the Chiefs look to continue to have the number one rushing rank in the league.
With all these options, how do you think the Chiefs will share the load? Charles will have the majority of the carries, but how do you make the other three happy? Jones is declining but he is still a quality back to have. With his decline, would you let him go and focus on the other 3? McCluster needs the football to be effective and the signing of WR Steve Breaston will certainly take throws away from him. McCluster has been seen lining up in the backfield this training camp. With the signing of McClain, the Chiefs have a problem on their hands, but its a good problem to have. Let me know what you think of the signing of McClain and how the Chiefs will share the load....

Chiefs Update!
Football is back and so are your Kansas City Chiefs! The Chiefs started their training camp this past weekend with some familiar face and some new ones. This summer's lockout has made an interesting week of football. Teams are making big moves these past few days as they try to get everyone in camp. The Chiefs have made a little noise, but nothing big. Coming into the season the Chiefs needed WR, OL, DT, and LB help. First round pick WR Jonathan Baldwin signed a couple days ago and will give the Chiefs that No 2 receive they been missing. Chiefs still need to make moves and re-sign some key players in order to repeat as AFC West champs. Here is a list of what the Chiefs have done and not done so far.
Key Cut/Losses: OL Brian Waters, TE Brad Cottham, CB Jackie Bates, DT Shaun Smith, DT Ron Edwards
Key Newcomers: WR Steve Breaston, DT Kelly Gregg, LB Brandon Siler
Notable Absents: LB Tamba Hali, CB Brandon Carr, LB Justin Houston
Check back for updates on signings, cuts, anything Chiefs related! Calendar is updated with full Chiefs schedule. 08/12/2011 is the first preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. GO CHIEFS!
